SOS recruitment are currently recruiting for a Sales Consultant to join our growing client based in Poole, Dorset!

Hours: Full Time

Permanent Contract: 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday

Job role:

We are looking for a Sales Consultant to join our client’s team in Poole.  You will help drive their sales to business customers, working from leads obtained via our client’s business website.  Make outbound calls to new and existing customers with a view to preparing quotes.

Main Duties:

  • Work to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly sales targets for sales and trading margin.
  • Be an expert on all elements of our client’s product portfolio.
  • Work leads for customers from all sources to a clear conclusion whether that be a sale, failed sale or diarised future opportunity; making repeated attempts to contact within reason.
  • Use standard operating procedure to capture customer needs in a way that builds the propensity for the customer to buy from you; considering wider fixed and IT profile in line with networking product development.
  • Provide a quote matching the best possible deal for the customer considering their needs; considering our clients margin aspirations but moderating this to stay within the parameters of a good deal for the customer.
  • Attempt to close the business as soon as possible dependent on the dialogue with the customer; avoid over-selling features of no real benefit and understanding when to abandon calls with uncertain customers.
  • Provide feedback on our clients’ proposition to sales management, emphasising elements that help you sell whilst establishing clear no-sales reasons from unsuccessful closes.
  • Build a pipeline of future business from post dated enquiries, resign opportunities and referrals from existing customers or any other lead referral source.
