Julie Cook Hughes is the Founder and Managing Director of SOS Recruitment Ltd.

With over 20 years’ experience in recruitment Julie is a spirited, energetic and forward thinking Managing Director who is hugely appreciative of her dedicated Managers and their hardworking teams.

Julie’s ethos is one of a hardworking, committed, honest and loyal individual. Able to deliver at the highest level, she is very determined, with a lot of passion and hunger for success. Highly motivated, results-oriented, with excellent commercial acumen, Julie is able to relate to people at all levels.

Owning and managing a recruitment business, Julie is focused on helping SOS’ clients, candidates and employees.

By having these 3 groups of people at the heart of all SOS do, the aim is to become a leader in the provision of candidate attraction, management and assessment solutions.

As well as a businesswoman, Julie is a dedicated mother and supporter of local charity, Julia’s House – a mean ‘feat’ to achieve for such a busy lady!

Lesley Churchill - Operations Director

Lesley Churchill has worked alongside Julie Cook-Hughes for almost 15 years and can ‘turn her hand’ to a multitude of tasks within the business. Lesley’s main responsibilities as an Operations Director are to ensure the Finance/Accounts Department runs smoothly with her team – with over 300 temporary staff alone to payroll weekly in addition to the daily finance functions of the business itself, Lesley has many ‘strings to her bow’! Lesley has the ability to multi-task, work under pressure and remain calm and professional. Furthermore, Lesley works closely with Julie on various projects within the business including her HR responsibilities. Lesley’s days are fast paced, varied and very busy and she is a truly valued member of the SOS team. Her varied skill set has contributed towards the continued success of SOS recruitment.

Anna Elford - Senior Temporary Recruitment Consultant

Anna Elford has worked within commercial recruitment for over 10 years now and is a truly talented individual who has a wealth of skills! Anna has taken on a huge responsibility to work on an extremely busy desk with her colleague, Kirsty Marr, Senior Consultant to look after this extremely fast moving division, it is not for the ‘faint hearted’ you need to be one step ahead of the game – the market is competitive! With over 200 temps working each week, Anna has to be extremely organised and on top of the mounds of paperwork along with communicating daily with the candidates and clients themselves. Anna enjoys imparting her knowledge and training her team to ensure the smooth running of the Temporary Commercial desk! Anna has an extremely driven, hardworking personality and strives to achieve results! A true asset to SOS recruitment’s Commercial Temporary Division!
